Access

There is free access to the reservoir. There is only wheelchair access in the picnic areas.

Facilities

There are toilets and a small shop in the nearby village of Blanchland.

There is a bird hide, with a small feeding station. Keys are available from the Durham Wildlife Trust.

Parking

There are numerous car parks close to the reservoir.

When visiting the nature reserve section of the reservoir there is a Lay-by, which is large enough for a few cars.
